The documentary of the 50-year romance between the fashion legend Yves Saint Laurent and industrialist Pierre Berge. Directed by Pierre Thoretton, released in USA, few days ago (13th May 2011) and in cinemas worldwide from 20th May.
The entry point of the film is the 3-day Christies auction (2009) of the duo's Art collection following designer's death in 2008. Among the 733 items sold: works of Picasso- Manet- Matisse, Roman antiquities and Chinese sculptures. Berge commented on his decision to sell the collection "without Saint Laurent, it has lost the greater part of its significance"
