Τhe most Glorious pieces of the fashion artist Alexander McQueen will be exhibited in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, from May 4 - July 31, 2011.
The exhibition is organized by the Costume Institute and will include more than 100 pieces of work of his 19 years career. The hefty catalogue which was recently distributed, gave a preview of what the public will be able to observe during the exhibition.
Sarah Burton (Alexander's successor) says: "He wanted to talk about craftsmanship, about the old techniques that are being lost and how people don't do things with their hands anymore".
No need to say or write anything more. I think the images of the exhibition speak for themselves.
