Dior Fired John Galliano

The world's most famous designer of modern fashion is now dismissed from Dior. The 50-years-old designer whose extravagant art, theatrical fashion shows and wide imagination helped turn Dior into a multimillion dollar brand is fired due to the two incidents of attacking a couple and a video of Galliano's showing him saying "I love Hitler". Dior intends to procced with its runway show in Paris (Fashion week) this coming Friday.
It's noted that Galliano will start his rehab immediately. Natalie Portman (face of Dior parfumes) denounced John and disassociated herself from him with the following statement :

"I am deeply shocked and disgusted by the video of John Galliano's comments that surfaced today,” stated Portman. “In light of this video, and as an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr. Galliano in any way. I hope at the very least, these terrible comments remind us to reflect and act upon combating these still-existing prejudices that are the opposite of all that is beautiful."

The questions are many but the most important one is what will happen next. Who will replace Galliano after 15 years in Dior? Rumors say that LVMH and chairman Bernard Arnault  are considering designers within LVMH's "army" such as Lanvin's Alber Elbaz, Chloe's Phoebe Philo and Louis Vuitton's Marc Jacobs. Only time will tell!

Blake Lively Chanel's Ambassador

It is already known that Blake Lively is the new face of Chanel. Anna Wintour introduced her a while ago to Karl Lagerfeld who describes her as "American Dream Girl". After having dinner before Chanel's Haute Couture show last July in Paris, he appointed her official Ambassador of  new Mademoiselle handbag.

Lively commented:
"Though I am the face of it, I will carry it like every girl,” Lively said of the bag. “I will always feel it’s more than just a purse. It’s a quilted case full of lipstick, love letters and the dreams and possibilities that I have always felt every time I see that beautiful ‘CC.’ ”
